Filming might be on hold for many films at the moment but one film that is set to start shooting next year is Thor: Love and Thunder!
Natalie Portman revealed to Serena Williams on Instagram Live this week, that filming on Thor 4 is expected to commence early 2021, telling the tennis player, “We’re shooting in Australia at the beginning of next year.”!
Portman will be reprising her role as Jane Foster joining Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson (also returning as Valkyrie) and newcomer Christian Bale whose set to play the villainous character!
Taika Waititi is returning to direct the fourth instalment and revealed this week that the script is still being worked on. The director who also voices the character of Korg in the Marvel Universe promised BBC news, the script is “going to be really good”. He continued to tell the network, “We’ve been writing the script off and on for over a year and I’m just, actually this week, doing another pass on it. It is so insane and it’s also very romantic. I’m into romances now. I just want to make a romance. I just want to make something that I’ve never done or never cared for. I would like to attack something like that.”
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled for release on February 11, 2022. Although this could change if Black Widow (2020) gets delayed again, pushing the Phase Four calendar back. Stay tuned for more.
