Radioactive is Director Marjane Satrapi’s first film based on a book that was written by another author. Her previous works, Persepolis and Chicken with Plums had both been created by her, in which she directed both film adaptations too.

Director Marjane Satrapi was attached to the film in February 2017. It wasn’t until a year later, that filming actually began.
