Frozen II | What's On The Red Carpet

Frozen II

Elsa the Snow Queen has an extraordinary gift — the power to create ice and snow. But no matter how happy she is to be surrounded by the people of Arendelle, Elsa finds herself strangely unsettled. After hearing a mysterious voice call out to her, Elsa travels to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond her kingdom — an adventure that soon turns into a journey of self-discovery.

Key Facts

  • The song used to call Elsa to the enchanted forest is really a Scandinavian herding call called kulning.

  • Figures resembling Dumbo, Snow White, Baymax from Pixar’s Big Hero 6, and Totoro from My Neighbour Totoro can be seen at the beginning of the film when Anna and Elsa are playing with snow figurines.

  • If you watch closely, during Elsa’s “Into the Unknown” number, Elsa spins around creating a circle of ice on the ground. For a split second two circles appear at the top, resembling Mickey Mouse.

  • Josh Gad improvised his lines about the non-existent character Samantha.

  • Frozen II marks John Lasseter’s final involvement with Walt Disney Animation Studios, before his departure from all Disney animation areas.
