Fantastic Beasts: A Return to the Wizarding World
The Harry Potter films may be in the past, but a new era of magic is soon to be here. The time has come to welcome “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. The film is a prequel to the Harry Potter saga and the first instalment of five films – EXCITING!!! The first film will be hitting cinemas next month (18th November, 2016) with the sequel coming 16th November, 2018 and the third instalment landing on 20th November, 2020. The news of the fourth and fifth film came about just a few days ago when Warner Bros. made the announcement at a global fan event held in London. They did not reveal the release dates but having looked at the 2 year gaps in between the first three films, it would only make sense for the fourth and fifth film to be released in November 2022 and November 2024. With all these plans, it looks like we’re set to continue our journey through the wizarding world for the next 8 years to come!
The magical fantasy is directed by no other than David Yates; meaning this film should be just as good as the four Harry Potter films he has previously directed.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an extensive introduction to the magical beasts that exist in the magical, non-Muggle world (Amazon.co.uk). You may have come across some of the creatures from the Harry Potter books and others not so much as we still have yet to meet. The film is set in 1926 in which Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives in New York City for a meeting at the Magical Congress of the United States of America, however he doesn’t arrive alone…with him comes trouble in the form of a magical creature(s).
The European premiere will take place on Tuesday 15th November 2016 in London’s Leicester Square. Keep your eyes peeled and notifications on for news on how to attend the magical premiere of the year and join some very special guests on the carpet. Until then, feast your eyes on the latest and final trailer below.
